Interior Night, a studio dedicated to creating innovative and accessible narrative games, today announces its official formation. Led by Founder and Creative Director Caroline Marchal (Lead Game Designer on Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls), the studio also features key developers from Sony and Quantic Dream.
“At Interior Night, we want to attract a mature TV audience – people who love shows like Breaking Bad or Fargo but who do not necessarily game - with original interactive stories” explains Caroline. “I think narrative games are the best genre to reach a broad audience because stories, when done well, are universal.”
Creating high-quality narrative games is a rare skill and Interior Night relies on its unique expertise in narrative and social games. Caroline continues: “Interior Night aims at pushing the boundaries of what people have played so far, in terms of subject matter and gameplay. We want to offer bold and broad experiences where people can forget about the mechanics and focus on their emotional connection with the characters and the story.”
