Store Promotion and Licenses up for Grabs for Innovative Games

London, UK.  November 4 2014:  Marmalade Technologies Ltd, providers of the free, top-rated cross-platform app development tool, today announced a brand new offer for developers who deploy their Marmalade apps to the Windows Store for phone, tablet and PC.

In collaboration with Microsoft Corp., the promotion, which runs for five months from November 3, is targeted at indie makers of innovative and engaging games who want to reach a broader audience. In return, the successful developers will receive a package of bonuses including: a priority review for Windows Store promotion, a license to Windows 8.1 Pro, a Windows Phone device and a Marmalade Indie License.

Harvey Elliott, CEO of Marmalade Technologies said: “Once again, we are providing developers with a fantastic reason to take their apps to the Windows platform. Working closely with  Microsoft, we are able to offer indie developers with high quality apps an irresistible package of rewards when they bring their apps to Windows Store, and millions of new customers.”

“The Windows platform enables developers to take advantage of a wide range of tools and middleware, like the Marmalade SDK, to get the most from their code and participate in the growing Windows ecosystem,” said Emilio Salvador Prieto, Senior Director, Windows Apps & Store, Microsoft. “With this new offer from Marmalade, talented developers who qualify will be able to take their games to millions of new potential consumers while enjoying a variety of valuable rewards.”

Marmalade enables developers to deploy to multiple platforms easily from a single code base often by simply redeploying their app or game, whilst maintaining maximum speed and performance – a far more cost efficient way of launching onto new platforms when compared to a native approach to app development.

Running from November 3, 2014- March 31, 2015, successful developers will receive:

  • ·      $100 PayPal gift voucher
  • ·      A priority review for Windows Store promotion
  • ·      A developer account token for the Windows Store
  • ·      A license to Windows 8.1 Pro (worth up to $200)
  • ·      A Marmalade Indie License (worth $499)
  • ·      A Windows Phone device*
